Garden Hacienda Facilities

Garden Hacienda is a country estate that has two one bedroom homes available for vacation rentals to individual parties, both situated on five hectares of immaculately tailored orchards and gardens.  The home is located a short fifteen minute drive from the bustling peninsular capital of Puerto Jimenez.  Pavement extends to within two miles of the property.  The primary rental property is the main house, located on a hill overlooking the gardens and lowlands that extend to the east toward the Golfo Dulce.  A second home on the property is available for families or groups that need a second private home.

The open-air architecture of the home capitalizes on breeze coming into and off of the mountains and gulf to make the mornings and evenings breezy and cool.  The one bedroom home has a king-size bed in the master bedroom with a master bathroom with hot water and an enclosed outside shower.  A double-sized murphy bed folds down in the living room to provide additional sleeping space with a bed and a half bath is located just off the dining area. 

A combined living room and dining area includes a full entertainment center with satellite television and DVD.  Stately furnishings and tile floors contribute to an ambiance of simple elegance.

The outdoor kitchen is located on the back patio and is fully equipped with refrigerator, gas stove, oven, hot water, blender, microwave, and a full set of cookware, plates, crystal, and kitchen utensils and shelving.  The water to the facility is potable.  A washing machine and dryer are also included among the appliances available for use.

A wrap around tiled veranda surrounds three sides of the home.  It is roofed and outfitted with lounging furniture and affords the perfect spot to take in the gardens at different times of the day with beverages appropriate to the occasion.

Garden Hacienda boasts full utilities, including grid-electrical power, municipal water supply, satellite television, and broadband Internet.  A cell phone is available for the use of guests at no additional charge for local calls.  A caretaker lives permanently at the far end of the property ensuring round the clock security for the facility.  The caretaker's wife provides catering services upon request for a modest additional fee. 

The home is fully equipped with linens, towels, and kitchenware and has private parking and extensive orchards.  One of our many varieites of fruit is always in season at Garden Hacienda, and we have a full herb garden for you to rely upon for cooking as well.  Beyond the watchman--who can provide some guiding and support services, our Puerto jimenez management company, Osa Corcovado Tour and Travel is a full service tour and travel agency and can coordinate tours, transport, rental cars, sport fishing, permits for Corcovado National Park, domestic air ticketing and charter flights, other vacation rentals around the peninsula, and a wide variety of additional services.

At $75 per night, Garden Hacienda is the least expensive fully equipped vacation rental on the entire peninsula.  While we are not located on the beach, we are walking distance from the Agujas River, which is ideal for swimming and hiking.  We are close enough to town so that it is convenient for business yet far removed from the dust, heat, and rowdy bustle of town so that visitors can take care of town business and retreat to the sumptuous and inexpensive convenience of Garden Hacienda once business is taken care of to enjoy the bucolic pleasures of the Agujas watershed countryside.
